"JP Harris Developments Ltd has recently completed a very extensive building programme for my wife and myself. This involved the conversion of a two-storey office building into a single private dwelling of 3000 square feet, including the demolition of the single storey rear of the building and its replacement by a double storey structure. The contract also included the construction of a double garage and landscaping of the rear garden. The work covered a period of fourteen months. Jerry Harris and his team carried out most of the work themselves, subcontracting the specialist activities and acting as project managers in this regard, under the direction of our architect and the watchful eye of the RBWM building inspector. We had JP Harris Developments carry out a two story side extension and single story rear extension to our house.

From the initial meeting, Jerry put us at ease, insisting that no question was silly and explaining things to us in detail. It was this friendly open and understanding approach that lead to both my wife and I agreeing, within 5 minutes of our first meeting finishing, that Jerry was going to be our builder, even though he was the first we had seen.

Jerry was able to accommodate all of our requests at every stage of the project and offered advice as the project progressed, to the point where we left Jerry to make some of the decisions himself. Due to his experience, knowledge and understanding of our vision, we trusted him to do the right thing, which was not always the easiest route, from concealing steel beams in the ceiling to maintain a flat ceiling through two existing rooms and into the extension, to designing our skylight light well to make a beautiful feature.

When carrying out a project of this scale it was imperative to us that we trusted our builder, to not only work in our home but also to respect us and our young children. Jerry exceeded all expectations and he and his team became part of the family.

As with all building projects there are items to be snagged in the final stages and Jerry attended to these in a timely and proficient manner. Overall Jerry was a delight to have around the house. His work is to the highest of standards and going forward if we were ever to have any building work carried out in the future we wouldn’t even get quotes from other builders. Jerrys number will always be in our phone and I have, and will continue to, highly recommend his services.

JP Harris Developments came to my attention via personal recommendation, and I employed them to build an extension to my two-bedroom Edwardian terrace and completely refurbish the rest of the house.
